Oven cleaning in Egham
We clean ovens in Egham with a dip tank in the van. Racks, trays, side runners and pan supports come out and soak while the cavity, the door glass and the seals are done by hand at your worktop.
What it costs
| Job | Price |
|---|---|
| Single oven | £77 |
| Double oven | £110 |
| Range cooker, 90cm | £114 |
| AGA, 2 oven | £143 |
| Hob | £23 |

Priced per appliance and agreed before we start. A single oven that has not been touched for a year takes about two hours.
The door glass
Most doors come apart so the inner panes can be reached. Some newer models are sealed, and on those only the outer face can be done. We tell you which yours is before starting, not after.
Using it afterwards
Same day. The products are non-caustic, so there is no airing-out period and nothing to taste on the next roast.
Around Egham
Water here is hard at around 275 mg/l, so limescale sits on the hob surround, the kettle and the glass, and it has to be tackled separately from the grease when a range or oven door is stripped.

Questions we get asked
How long until I can use the oven?
Straight away. The products are non-caustic, so there are no fumes, no airing out period and nothing to burn off first. We wipe the cavity dry before we leave and you can put a roast in that evening. The old caustic gels needed a couple of hours with the windows open, which is where the trade got its reputation.
Do you take the oven away to clean it?
No. The racks, trays and shelf runners go into a heated tank in the van and soak while the cavity, the door glass and the seals are done by hand at your worktop. Nothing leaves the property and nothing comes back a week later. Your kitchen is out of use for about two hours on a single oven.
Is it worth cleaning an oven that is twenty years old?
Usually, with one caveat. It will come up clean, not new. Pitted enamel, a base that has been scraped with a blade at some point, and glass etched by years of heat are damage rather than dirt. We tell you which yours is on the doorstep, before the tank goes on, instead of after you have paid the £77.
Do I have to be in while you work?
Someone has to let us in and be there at the end to look at it. Beyond that, no. There is nothing to breathe in, so you can carry on in the next room or go out. Most people who work book a morning slot and come back at lunchtime to a kitchen that is already back in use.
