Oven cleaning in Englefield Green

Englefield Green is the village on the hill west of Egham, in TW20. Royal Holloway, with its Founder’s Building, sits on Egham Hill at the edge of the village, and a lot of the ordinary family houses around the campus are let to students.

A student-house oven, start to finish

This is how a checkout clean usually goes in a shared house off St Jude’s Road or elsewhere near the campus.

1. Someone in the house books a slot for the week before the handback. Late June and early July fill first, then September.
2. On the day, one of the tenants lets us in. We look at the oven together and confirm the price.
3. Racks and trays are pulled out and left soaking. If the street is full, we park a few doors down and walk the kit in.
4. The cavity takes the time. One oven cooking for five or six people for a year leaves a thick layer of carbon on the back panel and the floor.
5. Then the glass, which in these houses is often brown right across the middle panes.
6. Seal checked, racks back in, and whoever is home looks it over with us.

Allow two hours for a single, longer if nobody has cleaned it for several tenancies. The price is still £77.

Halls and blocks

Purpose-built student blocks book contractors in through a site office, and many limit the hours a van can be on site. Tell us the block name when you ring and we will fit the slot around those hours.

Family houses up the hill

Away from the student streets, the larger detached houses on this side of the hill are more likely to have a double, a wide oven or a range.
